Fall Inspired Console Table Styling

Love Fall Most of All

It's finally September and to me that means fall is in the air! Autumn is hands down my favorite season. Living in the south means living in stifling hot summers. When September rolls around I am very much ready to part with the summer heat and welcome the crisp, cool air of Autumn. I love fall foliage, falling leaves, trips to the apple orchard, yummy pumpkin spiced treats and the cozy scents of fall. I also love football season, go tigers! And I love the anticipation of the upcoming holidays.

Out With the Old and In With the New

At the start of each new season I clean and organize my living spaces to prepare for seasonal decor pieces. By keeping a neutral color scheme throughout the home it is easy to interchange seasonal decor. I recommend keeping neutral picture frames, vases, mirrors, furniture, etc. By keeping this neutral color palate you can easily transition between the seasons and not feel the need to redecorate your entire home!

For any changing season or the holidays, my preference for decorating in my home is limited to the common areas and the front porch. I have an open concept home, the entryway flows into my living room, dining room and kitchen which all share a large common area. I keep seasonal and holiday decorating simplified by limiting the areas I (re)decorate and by keeping the decor cohesive.

Timeless Pieces

Two of my favorite pieces in my home are my arched mirror and my living room console table. I snagged this table on major sale last year at World Market. It's light wood tone and natural smooth texture make it a very versatile piece. I found this arched mirror at Kirkland's and have had it for three years. These pieces serve as anchors for my living room and I treat them as the focal point.

This styled look is vibrant with bright pops of green and orange. You don't have to be scared of color! Incorporate surrounding elements that are soft and neutral to balance out brighter design choices.

This second look has a more muted color scheme. I also simplified the focal point of the table with the dough bowl and faux pumpkins.

Both looks feature some of my favorite pieces to style a space. Vases, candlesticks, dough bowls, bone boxes, faux stems and diffusers can be found all throughout my home!

I hope these pictures will give you the inspiration you need to prepare your home for this fall season!
